India is the land of festivals. Though all the festivals have their importance; Rakhi stands out as a unique gift of Indian culture. The simple threads of Rakhi symbolize the sacred love of brother and sister. When a sister ties a Rakhi on her brother’s wrist, her sentiments flow towards her brother that he should get each and every happiness. At the same time the brother thinks on the same wavelength that at in any cost he would protect the honor of his sister.

It is immaterial whether a sister or a brother is in the same village, town or city in India or USA, Canada, Australia, UK. Personally tying a Rakhi on her brother’s wrist or sending online Rakhi Gifts, always strengthens affection for her brother. The same way when a brother personally gives or send online return gifts to his sister, his unuttered vow to protect her is revealed. So Rakhi is the confluence of true and perfect feelings of siblings.

Why is the USA so stuck in outdated traditions?

Pledge of allegiance in schools
Veteran’s Day, July 4th and Christmas day are public holidays
People waving the American flag everywhere
God Bless America slogans everywhere

All these are outdated; why are we so stuck in are old traditions; why can’t we be like other countries? Sweden and Norway are the complete opposite of the USA and are much better countries!
Debra D – Norway is becoming more and more atheist.

In fact Paganism is also making a coming back so they celebrate winter holiday.

Christians are been driven out of Norway is droves, churches burned down, Bibles used as toilet paper and some Christians are even been killed.

Look up Persecutation of Christians in Norway”

I don’t know where you live but kids haven’t been able to say the Pledge of Allegiance in schools for years because it says, “One nation under God”. This is the same country that’s arguing over whether or not we should allow Muslims the religious freedom to build a mosque on Ground Zero. I don’t know where you get off thinking Norway doesn’t have Christmas since it’s a Christian country: Church of Norway 85.7%, Pentecostal 1%, Roman Catholic 1%, other Christian 2.4%, Muslim 1.8%, other 8.1%.

Another great place to shop for Christmas Usa Traditions products is Amazon. They have more than just books!
