I need Christmas gifts for the following people…?
I’m broke and won’t start my full time job till after the holidays, so I figured spending 25$ is the max I can do for each person. I have to buy gifts for 6 people and have ideas for 3, but need ideas for the other 3…
– My brother is 23, a painter (not an artist), drinks a lot, likes classic rock music, family guy and stuff like that. He’s kind of like a college kid that doesn’t go to college. I don’t want to get him a CD because I can get music online for free anyway.
– My mom is in her 50’s, also a painter (not an artist), volunteers at a place for injured birds of prey, and likes to kayak. I have no idea what to get her.
– My step mom is in her mid 30’s, now a stay at home mom for a baby girl that’s about to turn 1, and that’s about it. No idea what to get her either. I know she use to party when she was younger though, if that helps.
If you have any ideas on what to get these people I’d really appreciate it because I have no idea. Thanks.
For a person who doesn’t have a lot of money, a gift of time is always a good idea, and usually appreciated. You could volunteer to watch the 1 year old for your step mom. Give her an afternoon to shop, gift wrap, or get her hair done, or just plain relax!
Perhaps you could volunteer one afternoon also where your mother does. It would give you time with her, one on one, and a chance to see first hand just what your mother does.
Finally, you have your brother left. Now you have the rest of the money left too. Maybe take your brother to a movie, or does he need anything for his painting that you could afford? I would also see if you could volunteer something for him. Maybe wash his car or do some odd chore that he doesn’t like to do. But certainly, do not buy him any alcohol, which I took, that you were maybe thinking of. If he drinks really a lot your best gift ever might be a visit to AA.
