I just booked my trip to Disney World.
i am definitely going November 18th-November 24th.
Tell me now, and be honest…am i totally and utterly screwed?
Am i gonna be stuck in a mosh pit trying to get to a ride? can you not move at all? I’ve heard that a lot of people would rather go at christmas-time to see decorations and everything so I figured by going near thanksgiving I’d be doing a little better? is this so? I’m scared of what I might encounter. I go every spring break so I know what the crowds are like then, is it comparable to near Thanksgiving?
oh by the way- has anyone ever stayed at Disney’s POP Century Resort? whats it like? I’m staying there.
The time you are going to be going will be busy, but it will not be the busiest time of the year. If you have gone during Spring Break, the crowds will be similar. If anything, I think that you may have slightly smaller crowds than during Spring Break. Don’t worry about it too much, you will just end up ruining your trip. Go, enjoy yourself and have a great time. Plan your trip and enjoy it, ride what you can and forget about what you can’t. It’s fun no matter what. You may even make it in time to see the Christmas Decorations! Plus, the weather is a lot nicer than during Spring Break, so that will make it more enjoyable.
Pop Century is a nice resort. It’s the only value with a lake, so it has a little more atmosphere than the All Stars. The icons are awesome, as are all the icons in the values. The food court will give you an inexpensive alternate to the rest of Disney food. It’s a lot nicer eating there than going off site and wasting your time that you could be at the parks. Get something small to take with your, or eat at a counterservice restaurant in the park to save money. Or, use the dining plan, it will also save you some money. If you get a private transfer, most will allow you to have a 30 minute stop at the grocery, so you could pick up a few snacks as well.
The values are nice because you get the extra perks and benefits of being on site, but still get a good rate. There aren’t many amenities like you will find at the deluxe resorts, but it is still a nice resort.
