Should I let my 12 year old son play Call of Duty Black Ops?
Should I let my son play Black Ops? It’s rated M but he is a responsible kid, he gets almost all A’s in school and does his chores around the house without any type of payment needed. He tells my husband and I that all the other boys in his class have the game and that their parents don’t care. Now I’ve asked a few of his friends mom’s and they say that they don’t mind. I don’t fear that he will become a killer or something along those lines because he can handle violence. We let him watch almost all action movies as long as there isn’t too much sexual content and he doesn’t go around and start to be aggressive and violent. We let him play Black Ops at friend’s houses and at his cousin’s house. One of the only things I fear is the online part of the game because I always hear about people cussing all the time and saying offensive things. His birthday and Christmas are coming up and Black Ops is pretty much the only thing he would like. What should I do?

Let him play. Come on his a kid he knows its a game, its not gonna make him violent its just gonna keep him entertained and he will play with his friends and tbh some ppl would wish their kids was like yours A’s, helping around for no money. So i guess he deserves it.

Also swearing is something common for every kid. If he doesnt hear it at home he will hear it outside, from a film, school play ground and so on. But that doesnt mean he will come home one day and tell you some swear words or things like that. Im sure he heard enough of them like every other kid. No one can say that my kid doesnt swear or he never heard it because you will definitely be wrong.
