Zhu Zhu Pets continue to be one of the hottest new toys for the 2009 Christmas toy season. They provide children with an almost lifelike animal which they can let loose to entertain them. This gives parents the ease of mind that their child has a pet, without all the hassles that go along with the real life ones. With a real pet you’re constantly taking care of it, buying food, medications, taking it to medical appointments and cleaning up after it. With these new toys, they can be switched on and off, and you don’t have to worry about the usual responsibilities for a one time purchase price. Additional costs only rack up as kids start to ask for more of the accessories that go along with them.

These small furry electronic toys are very popular amongst children due to their “artificial intelligence”. There’s four different hamsters, each with a different color, name and personality. They include Mr. Squiggles, Pipsqueak, Chunk and Num Nums. The Zhu Zhu hamsters are natural explorers, and also loving, depending on which button a child pushes on its back. They can be let loose on the floor to go exploring, or put on a special play set such as the Zhu Zhu funhouse. As the toy hamster passes over special areas on the funhouse’s track, it triggers the toy to make certain noises or exclamations. These furry critters can provide a lot of entertainment for young children as they get to virtually experience what it’s like to have their own hamster.

Due to the immense popularity of these toys, they are next to impossible to locate in retail stores. Many parents have been turning to the online shopping world to scoop up these toys for their child. Unfortunately, they may be a bit pricier than if they were obtained via a regular store. Zhu Zhu pets typically sell for under $20 in stores, but online can be over $30. If your child wants one, you’ll most likely do best to either call around to stores to find shipments, or to simply buy it at a higher price online. That way you can ensure your child still has a smile on their face when they open that exciting gift on Christmas day.

Before Will Smith expanded into acting on large and small screens, he played rapper to Jazzy Jeff’s scratcher in a series of semi-novelty radio and video smashes. A teenager empathizing with the peer group his records were aimed at, the Fresh Prince communicated ground-level dispatches on home life (“Parents Just Don’t Understand”), would-be romance (“Girls Ain’t Nothing But Trouble”) and Walter M…

The jazz trio recordings that made up most of West Coast pianist Vince Guaraldi’s output often leaned more in the pop direction. Guaraldi had played with Cal Tjader and Woody Herman, scored a niche with Jazz Impressions of Black Orpheus, and hit a commercial high point with his melodic melodrama “Cast Your Fate to the Wind,” but he will forever be tied to his score for the cartoon A Boy Named Char…
