Should I get a ukelele?

So I’ve been having guitar lessons for the last 5 months. I’m still on the beginner book, I’m starting to learn chords. I really like the guitar but I’ve also always wanted to play the Uke. Thought it would be better if I learn guitar first, master stretch my fingers and learn the harder stuff. I was thinking of asking for one for Christmas. Do you guys think I should get a uke, or wait a while. Also if I do get one I’m not going to get a cheap crappy one, I’m going to try to get one that has good tone and quality.
