When you have made the necessary adjustments to your reborn for these additions you can begin to weigh your glass beads or glass sand in an amount you want your baby to weigh. You will need to have a stocking for the head filled with the beads and another one for the body to weight the bottom area of the dolls bodysuit. Limbs can be filled to the elbow or knee join, then filled with wadding or stuffing, it is important to then seal over the limb to avoid any glass coming through later. You can do this by taking a small circle of felt and gluing it to the entrance of the limb. Be careful not to overweigh the head, this can lead to a baby with a floppy head, if this happens you can either lighten the weight, or add a neck flange. Your head stocking needs to be place into the head surrounded by the same wadding or stuffing and the same procedure is followed with the body, keeping the glass filled stocking in the centre bottom and surrounding it with wadding or stuffing until you have it positioned correctly to emphasise detail on the bodysuit. Once you are happy with the weight and shape you can attach your limbs and head to the body suit, tighten the cable ties at the joins and cut off any excess tie.
