Do you have any work-place benefits?
Errrmmm. I get free heating and free lighting while I’m there. Free food sometimes too (when the boss isn’t looking otherwise meals cost 20p for breakfast, 30p for tea and 50p for a dinner.)
We don’t have any ‘usual’ workplace benefits. None of us belong to a union, we don’t have a works pension or healthcare.
We’re just above minimum wage and only get double time on Christmas day, time and a half on bank holidays, nothing extra for weekends and no unsociable hours allowance.
Ooohh! And I thought I had it bad.
We have health insurance but every year we pay more and more for it.
They do provide uniforms for us and laundering them too.
We also are allowed to quit if we don’t like it.
