Make sure your right hand is unencumbered from food and drink so the handshake is always in play.

Standards of excellence and accomplishments are tested in the family domain when you can comfortably turn off your cell phone, blackberries and text-messaging and genuinely participate in the party of your life. I have a huge problem..I threw a christmas party and was the only one drinking. I was only around for like 3 hours till I passed out, and everyone seen me laying there..I dont remember anyone leaving. The next day it seemed none wanted to talk to me or text me..and passed on the dinner I had planned few days later.I feel like such a shit! what do I do?

Just let it be for a while. It will pass and before long someone else will do something goofy. you have the right to drink at oyur own party anyways. Who cares what everyone thinks.
