Do you believe that celebrating Halloween is evil?
I am asking this because a radio station on Facebook asked which day (Sat or Sun) people were celebrating Halloween. I of course answered both because of being greedy with candy and it is so much fun dressing up the kids and going trick or treating.
Someone answered Saturday because going trick or treating on Sunday was evil and then there was another answer that Halloween was evil and shouldn’t be done at all.
I see Halloween as a time of fun. Yes, there’s scary stuff and devil masks but if you don’t want to deal with all of that, dress your child as something else or have your own personal Halloween party. It’s like Christmas, you can still buy gifts and let your child believe in Santa Claus all the while teaching your child about Christ.
And if Halloween is seen as evil, why do churches celebrate? Whether it’s by decorations of pumpkin cut outs on the windows or trunk or treating, they do celebrate.
So what do you think?
In MY OPINION, Halloween is just a fun day for children who want to dress up and eat candy. It’s like tradition for some families to decorate their home’s, put on shows etc. It’s not evil to me. Churches celebrate because not everyone see Halloween as evil. It just that people have different opinions about it, and they have every right to.
