Should I tan or go pale to my office Christmas party?

I’m wearing a low-cut lacy silver gray camisole and a black jacket…I’m light rosy beige with olive undertones. Should I tan a bit before or just go as I am now?

For the holidays, I always think a pale, “snow-bunny” look is appropriate. It’s more fresh and seasonal to go with light and rosy, rather than toasty and sometimes orange-tinted. And you’ll save money if you only tan in warm seasons!

As for makeup, a red or berry lipstick would really add a much-needed punch to your gray and black ensemble. If you’re not quite brave enough for a lipstick, lip stains, which you can even get at Wal-Mart, in Revlon’s “Limited Edition” collection, have the same color effect, just in a much softer, more neutral texture, and they aren’t quite as bold.

If you do decide to go with the red or berry lips, keep the eyes somewhat neutral. A bit of black liner and mascara, and maybe some beige-ish eyeshadow. If you decide on neutral lips, have fun with the eyes! A light, shimmery purple eyeshadow is always very pretty with a pale complexion!
