Suggestions on how to word “Gifts not necessary” in Birthday Invitations?
My twin daughters birthday will be 1 week after Christmas. We will be having 1 party with my family the 1st weekend in Jan and the 2nd weekend with my husband’s family. Does anyone have any suggestions how I can word in the invitations that gifts are not necessary??? Or is this rude??
It’s not that I don’t want them to have the gifts, they will have them from my husband and I and I am sure Grandparents but I just don’t want people to feel that they HAVE to bring a gift. I know $ will be tight for everyone being just after a big holiday. Any suggestions??
Yes, it’s their 2nd Bday.
I had a large birthday party for my son when he turned 2. I wrote not to bring gifts in the invitations but everyone brought one anyway. Maybe you should try saying “gifts are unnecessary as Santa was generous”
This way it is humorous but also stating that so close to christmas additional presents will not be missed by 2 year olds.
