Christmas Party!?

I am going to a Christmas Party this week and I need some help!

First of all, I’m a guy, but I’d like to at least try to have some input.

Since this sounds like it’ll be a company party, I would suggest that you try to keep your attire a little on the conservative side. You don’t want to catch the eyes of people in the wrong way. The way you dress could affect how they see your father’s reputation as a parent / co-worker.

Try not to use heavy make-up, and try to draw attention to your eyes and smile. This is, afterall, a party; you want to let the other guests around you feel as if you are comfortable with being amongst them.

Personally, I don’t really like make up on a girl. To me, extensive use of makeup on the skin makes some people look bad :X. Love natural beauty.

But yeah, i guess make-up gives you attention and a sense of formality for a party.If you must, I would say, no hoochie-mama type make-up. Try with some light colored eye-shadow and lipstick; without a lot of blush. (Like i know what i’m talking about anyway). I don’t think red lipstick is appropriate.

I don’t know what kind of company your father works for, or what kind of people are going to be there, but I would suggest wearing a simple dress… “nothing fancey pancey” –my gf said, lol. “look elegant” (a comment she made after i shared with her my take on the outfit; the only thing i asked her about)

As for your hair, I would say to style it the way that doesn’t take too much time and that looks decent. So, I don’t think you need to straighten it (depends on you though).
You’re not going to a prom, so just wear it as if you’re going to the movies or on a regular date. You don’t have to go all out.
