We are going to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year and we need a good place for dinner (we are on the dining plan). There will be 3 adults and 2 children (ages 1 1/2 and 4 1/2). We are going to Cinderella’s Castle on another day. Do you have any other suggestions for eating at MK? We were thinking the Crystal Palace, but we would like a couple of alternatives. What about the Liberty Tree Tavern? Is the food good? Is it a good atmosphere for the kids? Are there characters during MVMCP? We are not picky and we are as interested in the atmosphere/entertainment as we are the food. Any other suggestions? Thanks!!!

are you planning on eating dinner DURING the MVMCP?
if so then i would NOT recommend a table service restaurant as it would be a waste of the money you spent for the special experience.
i’d recommend eating at a quick service meal at cosmic ray’s starlight cafe. during the MVMCP they have characters dancing and interacting with guests all night and its a lot of fun. its almost like a dance club. there’s music and different colored lights going.

if you are planning on eating BEFORE the MVMCP begins then a table service restaurant would be just fine and both crystal palace and liberty tree tavern are great. liberty tree tavern has this great turkey dinner with all the fixings for adults and kids but if your kids don’t care for the usual turkey, potato’s, squash, stuffing/dressing, cranberries……then i’d actually recommend crystal palace more cuz its a buffet so they can chose to eat whatever they want. plus pooh, tiger, piglet, and eeyore come around to the tables.
