In this day and age, the internet gives kids the edge to learn many new things that were once taught to the older generations manually and brain teasers are among the most stimulating mental exercises available online. The best part is they are free.
Here are the six benefits of online brain teasers to kids:
1. Accelerate the idea that learning is fun. Brain teasers including puzzles, riddles, mazes and optical illusions are cool since they not only develop children’s logical thinking and problem-solving ability but they will find out that sharpening one’s brain is not at all boring.
2. Develop their self-confidence. When kids feel that they are smart or even smarter than their friends, they will not be afraid to try or experiment new things that are important in their growing up years.
3. Boost their memory skills. The kids can easily remember things by associating numbers, shapes and names to past events and history.
4. Complete a task and end up a winner. Many parents encourage their kids to get into sports and mental fitness is as essential as physical fitness. The beauty of brain teasers is that they can be done “at your own pace.”
5. Make their free time a quality time. Most kids just want to play computer games, watch television or listen to their mp3 when they are at home and no homework. These kinds of activities can be relaxing but when they do these things always, they are only limiting their chances to understand logic and reason at an early age.
6. Strengthen family bond. If you are a parent, a grandparent, an older brother or an older sister who wishes to get closer to the kid in the family, online brain teasers bring learning and enjoyment in just one click. This way, the kid feels that he/ she is not alone in doing an interesting activity.
