Music accompanying hymns for a wedding
Hymns can be performed in many ways. They can be sung live or prerecorded. For a wedding celebration the use of Hymns performed live is always the stronger option. The hiring of musicians can be expensive, this needs to be considered when planning your wedding music and the hymns being used. Some hymns do favour a solo vocalist and simple organ accompaniment where as others need the effect of a full choir to best capture the beauty and magnificence of the composition.
In most cases, the organ is the best instrumental accompaniment for traditional church hymns. Once you have chosen the hymns being used at your wedding, you should arrange to meet with a music organiser or choir musical director to make sure the hymns you desire are possible and appropriate for use at a wedding ceremony.
For some couples, choosing hymns can add worries for the upcoming event. To avoid these strains, some couples just hire musicians to look after providing and organising the hymns for them. There are now singers and vocalists who can sing different songs ranging from traditional to popular hymns. You can talk to these musicians on how to arrange your hymn selections. Take for example the popular hymn Amazing Grace. Some preferred it to be sung slowly but if you want to popularize it, make sure that the tune is still the same and the notes will be adjusted to the level of the guests’ vocal range.
If you want to introduce different instruments to complement the organ accompaniment, you may opt for guitar or violin. The guitar is easier to manage and bring to the church and is useful for more contemporary hymns. The violin is also diverse in its capabilities as an accompanying instrument, if your budget is large enough considering hiring a string trio or quartet to accompany the organ and choir always provides a unique and elegant sound. There are many professionals available for hire to organise and provide music for wedding ceremonies, listen to recommendations from family and friends as well as search on the internet for people who could help assist you in your wedding planning. Always make sure you read and listen to testimonials to ensure you get the quality service that you deserve on your wedding day.
The use of hymns in your wedding ceremony will make the occasion more spiritual and memorable. Just make sure you take the time to choose the right hymn, select the best musicians, and have the melodious wedding you have always dreamt of.

Is this a good or bad Christmas gift? Is it illegal?
I wanted to send some Christmas gifts to US soldier oversees for the holidays, and I wanted to send out copies of mixed CDs I would make. The songs are all instrumental composition (piano, string quartets, symphonies, etc), by artists like Ludovico Einaudi, Helen Jane Long, etc, I just wanted to send them very emotional or inspirational music. Is this a bad gift to send? If it is, do you have any other suggestions?
Also, is it illegal? I want to know if I’m infringing on the artists’ copyright. I legally purchased all tracks from iTunes and I put them on mixed CDs as a gift, I’m not making money by selling the CDs, but is it still illegal/unethical? Should I try to get the artists permission (that might be difficult, I think).
And lastly, does anyone know of any donation services that send gifts like this to soldiers? I’m pretty sure letters to soldiers sends gifts, but are there any other legitimate organizations?
Thank you, you just made my day. All these people asking questions about what to choose for christmas abercrombie clothes perfume jewelry makeup iPhones, expecting your question to be something sexual or about marketing drug use. Wow, I sound old don’t I. I’m only 14, but hey I’m allowed to be different. To answer your question, it’s technically not legal to give people mixes of CDs with music that you bought, because in theory the artists who made the music should be receiving payment for every copy they sell. However, I know you won’t get in trouble if you hand them out to friends, it’s only if you give them away in bulk. I doubt you’ll get in trouble for sending them to deployed soldiers and I think they’ll really appreciate it. Selling mixtapes will get people in trouble, but record companies overlook giving people them for free on a small scale.
As for ethics, if each song costs .99ยข just consider how much a well-known artist makes, it’s really not going to be a dent in their income if they lose 10, 20, 30 songs worth of money.
I know USO is legit http://www.uso.org/ I think they give you addresses to send packages to, also you can contact them and tell them your situation and they can help you out with the logistics.
By the way if you’re interested in composing you can think about that option as well.
I love Ludovico Einaudi, it’s wonderful you’re choosing this kind of music to send them as it is really meaningful for them to have that kind of beauty out in the battlefield and to listen to that in a war zone. Some recommendations if you want:
Kiss the Rain by Yiruma – especially on piano or violin, you can find it on youtube the girl sori plays it really well.
River Flows in You by Yiruma – again look for an instrumental version
Gounod’s Ave Maria – piano, violin, guitar etc. versions
and you’ve probably got this but Einaudi’s In Un’Altra Vita is absolutely amazing.
