What are good rock songs for a 13 year old boy?

My little brother is just getting into music so I want to make him a mix CD for Christmas. I wanted to give him popular songs from bands that I liked when I was his age like By the Way by Red Hot Chili Peppers and I wanted to keep it fresh with new songs like 21 Guns by Green Day. What other songs should I include?
