The exceptionally talented Pop artist Pink has released her CD entitled M!Ssundaztood. I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe Pink fans, and Pop fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of M!Ssundaztood Pink’s artistic excellence is on full display as Pink has once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be her best work to date.
Refreshingly, this was one of those CDs I was able to just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.
The nice thing about a CD like this is with this level of talent even if Pop isn’t your favorite genre you still can’t help but appreciate the greatness of the artist.
I give M!Ssundaztood my highest recommendation. It just plain belongs in any serious music collectors collection regardless of genre preference.
While this entire album is really very good some of my favorites are track 2 – Don’t Let Me Get Me, track 4 – Get The Party Started, and track 14 – My Vietnam
My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 – M!ssundaztood. Good stuff!

Help with buying a harmonica?
My fiance wants a harmonica for christmas. I’ve found some on ebay, but I don’t know which ones are good to purchase. Is there a certain brand I should be looking for? He used to play back in the day, but by no means was he a pro or anything. I have no clue how to go about buying one and could use some help making sure I get him a decent one. I’ll include the ebay link. Would I be better off going to a local music store? Thank you!

You’re better off going to a music store where you can be relatively sure of the quality. Hohner is the most common brand. They make Marine Band and Blues Harp, in addition to chromatics. I recommend either one, but not one with a plastic comb, because the sound quality is less rich. You’ll need to pick a key for a diatonic harp, since there are 12 to choose from. If you know what key he’s most likely to play along with, you can “calculate” which key harp to use for playing cross-harp, the most common blues style.

As for my advice about wood vs. plastic, let me temper that by saying that I do own a couple of plastic ones myself, I just don’t prefer them, and I also said that before I followed the link. You know him (and your budget) better than I do, and some people actually prefer the plastic, so use your judgment. It does seem like a good deal, all things considered, as long as they meet with his taste.
I also see that I didn’t imagine adding text that didn’t show up. I remember disagreeing with the first poster about the most useful keys. Rather than C, F, and G, I would likely choose A, D, and F. If I recall correctly, I used A to play along with Led Zeppelin’s “You Shook Me” in karaoke and D along with the Doors’ “Roadhouse Blues.” I had also included a link for your enjoyment, I hope:

I must be getting absent-minded in my old age. (I’m 60. I got my half-price—$1.50—Beatles harmonica in 1965 when I was 16 or 17.)
Another great place to shop for Christmas Music Harmonica products is Amazon. They have more than just books!

Stardust… The Great American Songbook, Vol. III $4.07 It’s a little hard to take Rod Stewart seriously when, on the first track of this third installment in his Great American Songbook series, he sings ruefully about his love life being “lean” (“Embraceable You”). But otherwise, Stardust…Volume III is as note-for-note solid as its predecessors–a cozy-up-to-the-fire treat that’s also a pleasant reminder of these songs’ staying power. “S’Wonderful” … |

Anthology: 1947-1972 $22.15 Muddy Waters should need no introduction. Not only did he provide a name for the world’s greatest rock & roll band, but he also created the Chicago electric blues sound that’s dominated the genre since he first hit the windy city in the late 1940s. His bands also featured what would become a who’s who of electric blues: Little Walter, Jimmy Rogers, Otis Spann, James Cotton, Junior Wells, Buddy Guy… |
