my boyfriend is about to get a promotion, what gift should i get him?
my boyfriend just got a promotion at work. he’s super excited and it means a lot to him. i want him to know that i care about him and that i’m excited for him too so i wanted to get him something but i don’t know what. i know he needs a new motorcycle helmet, but they are SO expensive, more like a christmas present or birthday gift. he also lost his favorite pair of oakley sunglasses but those are pretty expensive too. what do i get him? he likes the dave matthews band, oakley gear, country music, and he wants to be an engineer.

Replace the Oakley’s he lost. That way, you’ll be protecting his eyesight for your future together.
The MC helmet is a good idea, but you are correct, a high quality helmet like Arai is going to run average $500 (some as high as $700).
If he’s getting an office type promotion, pens or a watch are nice, as well. But good pens and good watches are going to be more than the glasses.
After considering it all, I’d say stick with the replacement Oakleys.
