Where is the best site online to download movies?
I would like to surprise my grandchildren and children by downloading some movies for Christmas stockings. There are so many sites, I would like some good advice on which are the best yet reasonable. Also, what type of DVDs should I be using?

I am more interested in copying movies onto DVD than watching them online if that makes a difference and also what exact DVD type should I purchase to make DVD copies?
I did not mean to imply that I was looking for illegal resources. I apologize if I gave that impression. I know there are sites where you can pay an annual fee and all downloads for the year are then covered under that fee. I was looking for some sites along those lines that provide the greatest service for membership.

FYI, every answer you’ve received so far is illegal. Unless it’s in the public domain, downloading movies without paying for them is a crime, punishable by a fine of up to $250,000.00 and up to five years in prison. You can find free, legal movies and music at archive.org – they everything there is in the public domain, but this means that the selection is limited. It can still be fun, though.
Otherwise, stick with legal sources like iTunes and Amazon. You’ll want to read their FAQs and info on exactly how they recommend burning the files to DVD and whether it’s even possible.
You might be better off just buying some cheap movies for them.
