I want to get an xbox for my teenagers?

I am thinking of something that I can also stream movies down on. I am an old technotard and need some help here. I usually bomb big time when I try to get them stuff like this. What do you think of an xbox 360 250GB with wireless control? Can I download movies onto my TV with that? Can they play “live” with their friends or is that something else?
My daughter loves Gears Of War with a passion and she longs for an Xbox so I want to surprise her for Christmas.

the 250GB model is the absolute top model you can get. You can play netflix movies if you pay the $9/month, or you can rent movies from the xbox marketplace for $5/month. But you can do all of those things with any model.

The 250 GB is for downloading add-ons for games and installing the games on the hard drive so that they load faster when you play them.

There is an xbox live ‘free’ version but it only lets you text chat and compare game scores against other people. In order to play interactively online, you need the ‘gold’ service which is $60/yearfor one account, but there is also a ‘family’ account which gives you up to 4 accounts for $99/year. You will need the gold service if you want to take advantage of the netflix and espn and facebook services.

The only other option right now in stores is the 4GB version which can do everything but has the drawback of limited space for game add-ons.

Don’t listen to the tard about xbox hardware failures. Those were launch models (5-6 years ago), and you can’t even find them used anymore because almost all have failed by now.
