Should I set up a second date or wait for him to call?

I had a first date with a guy I recently met in my neighborhood and it went great! We have a lot in common, had great conversation, tons of eye contact, laughed and smiled alot and he sat right next to me the whole time. We had dinner at an expensive restaurant and he even paid the whole bill. Later, we went to my house for a few minutes and as he was leaving he said that his schedule is crazy right now but I should call him if I ever wanted to see a movie or hang out and that he had a great time. No hug or kiss. I saw him briefly today and he said hello, made small talk and he wished me a Merry Christmas (LOL) and then corrected it to Happy New Year! It was so cute. I really want to call him to see him again but dont want to look too eager. Should I call him first or wait for him to make the first move? BTW, he knows I am separated and I wonder if he is taking things really slow because of that. Thanks for any advice you may have!

What’s your rush? If he hasn’t called by next week, you can call him but if you call too soon then you look needy and desperate!

If you call next week and suggest a movie but he has plans, then accept the fact that he may not be that interested and don’t chase him. There are other fish in the sea.
