Do you give a Christmas gift to your child’s daycare teacher?

I’d like to have Johnny give his teachers a gift for Christmas, but I don’t know how much to spend.

As a daycare provider, I can tell you what a good gift would be.
Have Johnny scribble all over a piece of paper with many different colors. Get some finger paint and put his hand print right in the middle of the paper. Write, “Johnny 2008″ at the bottom of the hand. Glue a small photo of Johnny in the middle of the hand.
On the back of the paper, write a little note from you telling her how great a job she does with him ~ “Thanks for taking such good care of Johnny……..”
And then a little one from Johnny, “Thank you for being my teacher……….”.
She will love it more than anything you could spend your money on.:-)

You could even attach it to the coffee mug if you wanted to buy that too, but it would be wonderful alone.

Just thought of some ways to”spruce” it up if you want to. You could use card -stock paper and you can thread Christmas ribbon around the perimeter of the paper and tie a bow at the top.
You could also frame it in a $3 frame and then write the notes on the back of the frame.
Something else you could do is buy some of that refrigerated cookie dough that has the shape of a Christmas tree. Have Johnny “help” you sprinkle red and green sprinkles on the cookies before you bake them. When they are done, put several in a ziplock bag with a To:/From: sticker on it and attach it to the picture you made. Then they get some “Johnny-made” cookies AND the picture……and YOU saved a few dollars.

This would be great Christmas presents for grandmas, grandpas aunts and uncles, too. Homemade gifts are always better;-)
