How to set up your manger scene?

Every year, our family argues when to put baby Jesus in our nice manger uncle Bill made a few years back. My sisters say He shouldn’t go into the scene until Christmas morning. My cousins all put him in right away. We all wait until January 6th to put the 3 Kings in. Also, the shepards and sheep are always a controversial issue. Any ideas???

The shepherds are busy just now reminding the sheep that it’s time for their annual bout of sexual intercourse, to provide the little lambs which will engage in drunken brawls with the Easter Bunnies come Springtime.

My question is : Do they know it’s Christmas time at all ?
