Only you know how your husband will react. My boyfriend has never gotten pissed, because generally they’re seen as a bit of a “joke” present. Just make sure the friend’s warmer is smaller than the one you give your husband!

Personally, I think those things are hilarious and I’ve made quite a few. One I finished recently is pointed at the end, with a snake head at the opening (just switched from dpns to straights toward the very end and decreased the last few rows a bit to shape the “mouth”), complete with googly eyes and crocheted fangs.

…But then again, that’s not quite “tasteful.” But, considering the project, what exactly WOULD be?
