Don’t you think we are celebrating Christmas all wrong?

Sure, it is fine to be nice to friends and family and exchange gifts and enjoy life, but if it is in honor of Christ’s b-day, shouldn’t we actually celebrate his life? Here is a better idea. I think everyone should spend the 12 days of christmas going on crash diets to become ridiculously skinny, and growning long beards (fake beards are fine for the chicks). Then we should trek through the desert (not anywhere near Israel) in search of food and people to preach to. Now THAT is celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

If he was real, then yes that would be the proper way to do things for Christmas. In a way though Atheists get a break because we don’t celebrate “Christ”mas, we celebrate “X”mas, which means we just get gifts for the pure joy of giving and receiving.

[Don't try arguing that "X"mas and "Christ"mas are the same thing either 'cause they aren't. One is the giving and receiving of gifts in honour of "Christ" and the other is just the giving and receiving of gifts because it's nice to do.]
