Please Help! Christmas Party Ideas (14 Year Old Girls)?
Okay so I’m already planning on having a Christmas party sometime around December 20th for about 4 or 5 girls, including me. Just so you know, we’re freshman girls. I was thinking of having gingerbread cookie decorating, maybe a $5 dollar gift swap (too small of a party?), and for decorations, I want paper snow flakes hanging from the ceiling and lights as well.
Please help me with ideas on what to do and decorations!
I want us to have a lot of fun doing cute Christmas activities and what not. Thanks for your time!
If you post a link to your question, I’ll answer it!
That’s a good amount of girls so as not to overcrowd the kitchen for making fun things…have everyone participate and bring some of the ingredients they’ll need for doing a favorite cookie (or candy thing)…
like Christmas Fudge>>ttp://www.christmas-cookies.com/recipes/recipe274.christmas-fudge.html
or Christmas Eve Mice>>http://www.tasteofhome.com/Recipes/Christmas-Eve-Mice
Set up lots of candles—cut out big snowflakes to put under your cookie display-have little twinkle lights running on the table, too…add some fresh pine branches, cinnamon pine cones….white carnations in a vase all cut to same length (pull flowers out over edge…), add cranberries, fill vase with water.
Have some favorite funny Christmas movies…play some great Christmas music
Here’s a game: MYSTERY STOCKING GAME
Divide the group into teams (or can do individually if just a few people). Give each team a Christmas stocking full of holiday objects that has been tied shut with ribbon. (Get the stockings ready ahead of time by filling them loosely with small non-fragile items- candy canes, plastic holly/mistletoe, tree ornaments, etc.) Set a timer and give each team 3 minutes to feel the stocking and write down all the objects that they can identify by feeling them through the stocking. The team with the most correct items wins.
CHRISTMAS ANAGRAMS>>
Divide the group into teams of 3-5 per team OR DO INDIVIDUALLY FOR SMALL PARTY. Post a Christmas word or phrase and give the teams 5 minutes to write down as many words as they can using only the letters in that word or phrase. (Suggested words/phrases…o-r-n-a-m-e-n-t, c-h-r-i-s-t-m-a-s-t-r-e-e, w-i-n-t-e-r-w-o-n-d-e-r-l-a-n-d, etc.) The team that creates the longest list of words is the winner.
POPCORN CHAINS>>
Give each person a bowl of popped corn and a needle threaded with red or green thread or yarn. Set a timer for three minutes and everyone has to string as many pieces of popcorn onto their thread as they can before the timer goes off. The winner is the person with the most popcorn on their chain.
