What would be a good monologue to audition for “A Christmas Carol” with?

I want to audition for my college’s rendition of “A Christmas Carol” next week. The stage manager recommended a period piece, like something from Oscar Wilde. I’d like to do something from that era, preferably something where I can use a British dialect. Problem is, I’m still relatively new to this, and have no idea where to find such a monologue. Can anyone help me? I’m a 23 year old female, and the monologue has to be a minute long. Thank you so much for your help.

“The Importance of being Ernest” Is a great show and you might find a monologue from that. I have googled alot of monologues. I hope that was helpfull! Break A leg!
